Battling Clare Lose Out To Mayo In All Ireland SFC Qualifiers

Clare’s run in the 2017 All Ireland Football Qualifiers has come to an end.

Colm Collins side lost out to Mayo in Cusack Park, with two second half goals seeing the Connacht outfit coming out on top by 2-14 to 0-13.

After a blistering first half, Clare led 0-8 to 0-6 at the break and looked to have last years beaten finalists on the rack.

They come out fighting after the restart and a brace of goals from Cillian and Diarmuid O’Connor gave them a lead they maintained to the final whistle.

They now go into the draw for Round 4A of the qualifiers while Clare’s season is over.
