Ibrahim Halawa was 17-years-old when he was arrested during a protest in Cairo a year and a half ago.
He shared a cell with Australian reporter Peter Greste, who was deported yesterday after 400 days in prison, and a trial described by human rights campaigners as a "sham".
Ibrahim's sister Nusayba is in Egypt ahead of his trial next week, she hopes yesterday's decvelopment is a sign of things to come for her brother.
