One of Tubber’s key men says they can’t allow themselves to get wrapped up in the occasion surrounding Sunday’s Clare Intermediate Hurling Final.

They take on Kilmaley for the right to make the step back up the senior ranks for 2018, having dropped out of the top tier two years ago.

The North Clare men will be able to call on two former All Ireland winners with 1995 goalscoring hero Eamonn Taffe patrolling the side while current Clare captain Pat O’Connor will line out in the starting 15.

O’Connor says it’s all about producing the right performance

Meanwhile Kilmaley’s Conor Cleary says the club have responded in a positive manner to dealing with being in the second tier this season.

They dropped down after losing to Newmarket in last years relegation final just 12 months after contesting the last four of the championship.

Miltown native Cleary is hopeful they can put it right this weekend
