Kilmaley’s Conor Cleary is praising the squad for approaching their Intermediate Hurling Final in the right manner after regaining their senior status.

The west Clare side won a first title at the grade since 1980 with a 15 point win over Tubber in the decider, and a place in the top tier for 2018.

Thoughts will now start turning towards a provincial campaign, with either Garryspillane or Murroe/Boher providing the opposition in the Munster Quarter Final on Sunday week.

County star Cleary says they knew a big performance would be needed to get the win.
