The 4 in the pack are prop Tony Buckley, 2nd row Mick O’Driscoll, and back rows Niall Ronan and Denis Leamy.

Ian Dowling and Barry Murphy are the wingers while Peter Stringer partners Connacht man Ian Keatley in the half backs.

Fellow westerners John Muldoon and Gavin Duffy are also in the 15 as the squad is without the Leinster contingent or the 6 Munster players in the Lions squad, the injured Tomas O’Leary and the suspended Alan Quinlan.

Quinlan is in Glasgow this afternoon to learn whether his appeal to a 12 week ban for eye gouging has been overturned.
