Fine Gael Ireland-South MEP and member of the European Transport Committee, Deirdre Clune, spoke to Gavin about why she decided to back French calls for the European Parliament to immediately approve EU measures to give European police forces access to passenger details on all flights, trains and ferries, operating both internally within Europe and to and from Europe. 
A new report this week revealed widespread racism against people of African descent from Irish men, women, children and even by public institutions. To discuss racism in Clare, Gavin was joined in studio by Orla ni hEili of Clare Immigrant Support Centre and Abiodun Ladigbolu President of Association of Nigerian Community in Clare.
The Clare Person of the Year 2016 was revealed as well-known local and international athlete Willie Keane. He spoke to Gavin about the honour, as did Gerry O'Reilly of the Clare Association in Dublin.
Tom Hickey Writer and blogger spoke to Gavin about the issue of facial disfigurement. 
Today also saw the launch of Clare FM Toy Appea. This year Clare FM teamed up with the Chernobyl Children’s International charity, founded and run by Adi Roche. Gavin was joined in studio by Adi Roche, Founder Chernobyl Children's International and by Stephen McDermott of Clare FM. Brother Liam O'Meara also joined the discussion on the phone from Minsk 
Our Friday panel was made up of Pat Kelly, Manager of the Skycourt Shopping Centre, Shannon; Gearoid Howard of Crimmins Howard Solicitors and by Patricia McCarthy, former Clare Councillor from Shannon.
