71% Jump In Rural Development Funding In Clare

There has been a 71% rise in the level of funding for the development of rural communities in Clare.

Data compiled by the Department of Rural and Community Development shows that the total amount granted for projects in this county last year is up significantly from the €4.7 million in 2017 to 8 million euro in the past year.

This includes the Local Improvement Scheme to carry out works on smaller roads, as well as outdoor recreation funding.

Ennistymon Fine Gael Senator Martin Conway is optimistic about the next 12 months too:
