€4.8 Million Paid Out In Life, Illness And Injury Claims In Clare

A total of €4.8 million was paid out in life insurance, illness and injury claims in Clare by one of the country’s leading insurers last year.

Figures compiled by Irish Life show that €3.5 million was issued the families of 37 people in life insurance claims alone, while €1.3 million in specified illness claims was also handed out.

The research also shows that half of people have no life insurance cover at all, while just one in five can get by on savings in the case of serious injury or illness.
