On today’s Morning Focus we had Clare events for any professionals out there, advice to keep you (and your pets) healthy plus award-winning country sing Trudi Lalor told us all about her charity single for Feileacain.

To start this Wednesday morning, we had Saoirse Brady, research and project manager for Children’s Rights Alliance on the air to talk about the government’s handling of child and family homelessness. Brady discussed why the Alliance gave the government an F for their failure to address this issue.

Next up, we were joined in our studio by Michael Shepherd, President of the Rotary Club in Ennis and John Skerritt, business adviser from AIB. They are holding a get together tomorrow to bring young professionals closer to their community. It will take place Thursday February 28th at 6 o’clock in the Rowan Tree, Ennis.

Gavin Grace was then joined by Joan Tarmey, Clare County Council Tourism Officer who talked about an evening to bring together Clare businesses and the tourism industry. This will take place at The Inn in Dromoland from 18.15 on Thursday February 28th.

To kick off the second half of the show, Dr Máire Finn joined us for our regular Ask the GP segment, concentrating on sleep. She talked about everything from snacks before bed, to managing your sleep when you have night shifts.
