There are major traffic delays in parts of Clare, following a road crash on the M18.
The two car collision happened between Latoon and Newmarket on Fergus, shortly before 6.30 this morning.
2 units of Shannon Fire Service and 1 from Ennis, together with Gardaí and Ambulance were called to the scene.
The road has been closed at junctions 10 and 11 and diversions are in place.
Emergency services are urging people to continue to use the motorway and follow diversions, following a build up of traffic on back roads in the surrounding areas.
