First on Morning Focus, we had Joe McInerney from Keep Ennistymon Moving and Cllr Bill Slattery join us to talk about Blake’s Corner, a blackspot for traffic in Ennistymon. With plans in place to alleviate congestion – will roadworks in the meantime exacerbate the problem?

Next on the show, we had Seán Naughton, SF candidate for Killaloe area, talking about young person’s car insurance. Naughton believes that a pay as you go system should be made available by insurance companies since many young people need their car for commuting but cannot afford the thousands of euros in premiums.
Dr Frances Giaquinto, botanist in non-native invasive species, was on Morning Focus talking about Japanese Knotweed. Clare County Council has organised several workshops throughout the county on controlling Japanese knotweed and other non-native invasive plant species.

We were joined by Sgt Catriona O’Rourke next for our regular segment Garda Focus, for an update on crime in County Clare.
Next on the show, Gavin spoke to Sharon Cahir from Cahir & Co Solicitors in Ennis and Patricia Anne Moore from Clare Older People’s Council. They were talking about putting the house in order, with a series of workshops coming up to talk about will writing. The next workshop is in Kilrush Golf Club tomorrow (Wed March 20th 11-12am).
