The Clare-based General Secretary of the ICSA says the cost of producing food is reaching an ‘unsustainable level’ for farmers.

More than 12 million euro in funding is being provided, with the Department of Agriculture suggesting the measure will aim to ease challenges relating to the price of feed and fertiliser.
However, Cratloe-based beef farmer Eddie Punch says higher food costs for consumers are now an inevitability.
