A Clare auctioneer has accused the government of ‘dancing around the issue’ when it comes to the housing crisis.
It follows the announcement of a new scheme to help first time buyers of newly built homes escape the rental trap.

The €400m ‘First Home Scheme’ is an equity scheme which will see the state provide a maximum stake of 30% if the buyer is not availing of the help to buy scheme, and 20% if they are.
