A Clare childcare provider has hit out over a failure by the Children’s Minister to engage with representatives from the sector.
The Federation Of Early Childhood Providers staged a protest outside the Dáil yesterday over the New Core Funding, which they say has left many providers non-viable.

They say they’re facing a crisis, with many facing the prospect of closure without additional supports.
Midwest FECP Representative and Ennis childcare provider, Connie Hannon says it’s disappointing that neither the Minister or a representative were there yesterday.
She says a number of issues must be ironed out.
