Construction is due to get underway soon on a new ten million euro development in Shannon.
DB Schenker has announced that it’s been granted full planning permission for a new green field facility at Shannon Airport, which is expected to be operational by mid-2021.
The shipping company is one of a number looking to expand in the region with Ei Electronics and Aldi both announcing new facilities for the region in recent weeks.
Logistics Commercial Director for DB Schenker, Sean Meaney, says the announcement of the facility is a show of trust in the region.
