Clare Samaritan’s Urge The People Of County Clare To Become Volunteers

On Friday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined by Margaret McMahon who is the Director of The Clare Samaritans and Mike McGrath who is the Lead Trainer with The Samaritans. The pair spoke about the number of calls the Samaritans received in County Clare this Christmas and made a call to the people of Clare to come forward and volunteer for the Samaritans. They highlighted the significance of ensuring that every call is answered and this can only be done with the assistance of new volunteers who are prepared to listen to people who are struggling. They discussed the upcoming open information sessions which will take place on Saturday 14th January at 12pm and Wednesday January 18th at 7pm in the Samaritans Branch on the Kilrush Road, Ennis V95V004. People from the age of over 18 onwards including people who have retired and have time to offer to the cause are invited to attend
