The Minister for Housing is advancing plans for 25 social houses to be built in Kilkee.
The site on the Miltown Road was purchased by Clare County Council approximately 15 years ago, and had previously secured planning permission, however no development was completed.

These new homes will be two-bedroom developments and will benefit some of the 68 individuals in the Kilkee/Loophead cluster who have been approved for one or two bedroom social houses.
Kilkee Fianna Fáil Councillor Cillian Murphy has been telling Clare FM’s Rebecca O’Sullivan that he hopes the project can be completed in two years.
