Yesterday saw Lissycasey beat Kilmihil in the opening match, 1-14 to 2-7, while St Breckan’s sealed their semi-final spot when they beat Ennistymon 0-11 to 0-8.

St Breckan’s manager Donie Garrihy was humble in their victory and praised the officiating staff as well as his own team.

The final match of Saturday came from St Joseph’s Miltown Malbay against Doonbeg in Cooraclare, goals proved the difference in Miltown’s win as they lead 2-11 to 0-11 when the final whistle blew.

They’ll now enter a three-way playoff to win the final spot in the semi-finals.

Miltown boss Maurice Reidy says he sees a lot of promise in his relatively inexperienced squad.
