The Banner were second seeds in the group by virtue of reaching the Munster final, where they suffered a heavy loss to Kerry.

Manager Colm Collins says they know a much better performance will be needed, and he’s confident they can produce it.

There are two changes to the Clare team from the Munster final for Saturdays tie with Donegal.

Manus Doherty and Dermot Coughlan miss out through injury, with Ronan Lanigan and Cian O’Dea coming into the starting side.

Darragh Bohannon makes his return to the matchday squad after recovering from a shoulder injury.

Throw in on Saturday afternoon is at 2pm with coverage on Clare FM with Jones’s Supervalu Miltown.
