9,500 people in Clare have now stopped claiming the Pandemic Unemployment Payment since the beginning of May.
It brings to 5,100 the number of people in this county who’ve received the payment today.
Natioanlly, just over 9,300 people have closed their claims in the last seven days, which means the payment has now seen a decrease in demand of 61% since its peak on May 5th.
Meanwhile, there are still 1,000 people throughout Clare who are medically certified for receipt of the 350 euro Enhanced Illness Benefit.
