The average asking price for a home in Clare has soared by 82% in the last ten years.
Daft.ie’s latest quarterly property price report shows that the mean cost of a dwelling in this county now stands at €243,000, up from €133,000 in the same period of 2013.

In the last twelve months meanwhile, the average cost of a one bed apartment here fell by 10% to €98,000 while the price sought for a five bed dwelling increased by 8.5% to €332,000.
Economist and Report Author Ronan Lyons says the publics purchasing power has been far outmatched by the rapid rise in construction costs.
