106 Patients Waiting For Beds At University Hospital Limerick

The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital is more than double that of any other hospital in the country today.

The latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show there were 106 patients waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 46 of those on trolleys in the Emergency Department.

The overall figure is 59 more than the next busiest hospital and comes on a day when there were 549 patients waiting for beds at hospitals across the country.
