Rape Crisis Midwest hopes consent classes for third level students will help change public perception on sexual assaults.

Consent classes are being introduced along with anonymous reporting tools and disclosure training for students and staff.

The measures are being brought in as part of an action plan which is aimed at ending sexual violence and harassment on college campuses.

Fundraising manager with Rape Crisis MidWest, Verena Tarpey says a lack of knowledge can lead to it becoming difficult for people to report a sexual assault.
