A Kilrush-based wedding celebrant says brides and grooms-to-be have suffered “upsetting, sleepless” nights waiting for clarification on the numbers allowed to attend their nuptials.
The Health Minister says good news is expected for brides and grooms to be, following this morning’s Cabinet meeting.
Protesters have gathered outside the Department of Health calling for clarification.
There has been some criticism on the focus on weddings given that restrictions are still in place in other areas like maternity hospitals.
Gráinne McGibney, who’s also the Wedding and Events Planner at the Armada Hotel, says any increase in guest attendance would be a welcome relief for couples.
