2022 will see Smith O’Brien’s return to the ranks of the Clare senior hurling championship for the first time in nine years.

It’s after the Killaloe men edged a gripping intermediate final showdown with St Joseph’s Doora Barefield, firing the last two scores of the game to clinch a 0-14 to 0-12 victory.

It is just the club’s second title at the grade and sees them back into the top tier for next season.

Joint captain Cian Nolan says the win is something that will be savoured by the entire community.
