The Clare President of SVP says further targeted supports for people in energy poverty are needed as a matter of urgency.
It comes as Government Departments have been tasked with coming up with ways to ease the impact of inflation.
They’re set to examine a wide range of measures including more electricity vouchers, food subsidies, cuts to VAT and things like stamp duty on credit cards.
Speaking with Clare FM’s Josh Prenderville, Clare Area SVP President Denis Carty says the progression of the introduction of the living wage is now needed quickly.
