The President of TUS insists the Midwest region must continue to operate as a whole rather than on a county by county basis.
It’s after respiratory diagnostics firm Vitalograph announced a 10 million euro expansion in both Ennis and Limerick this week that will lead to the creation of 200 new jobs by 2024.
The Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands Midwest has been established since October, and has campuses in Ennis’ Bindon Street as well as throughout Limerick, Tipperary and Athlone.
Professor Vincent Cunnane believes the region will continue to be successful if stakeholders continue to co-operate across county borders.
