The organisers of the Mná Ag Gáire Women’s Shed in Ennis have hailed the use of the building as a Ukrainian Community Hub.

They have partnered with Clare Immigration Support Centre; Limerick-Clare Education and Training Board and other volunteers in creating the Hub, with support coming from Clare County Council and Haven Horizons.

The hub is an opportunity for members of the Ukrainian community to meet, with coffee mornings on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30am-12:30pm.

Ukrainian women have set up a shop for needed items, while activities on offer include; assistance with immigration issues; English classes; and other skill share programmes.

Project Manager at Mná Ag Gáire, Women’s Shed Ennis, Hilary Tonge says the hub gives Ukrainian women somewhere to meet their compatriots, as well as locals.
