A Clare survivor of domestic abuse is encouraging others not to be ashamed to ask for help.
Julia, who lives in the county, suffered both physical and mental abuse at the hands of her partner before making the decision to leave during the pandemic.
In Clare, there’s been a 26% increase in the number of reports of domestic violence to Gardaí over the past two years.
Julia says the support the Gardaí gave to her was second to none.
