A section of the motorway between Limerick and Clare has partially reopened after vehicle went on fire.
The road from Junction 11 to Dromoland and Junction 12 towards Ennis, Kilrush, Kilkee and Lahinch was blocked off for a time.
Emergency services are at the scene and one lane of traffic has now reopened.
Motorists are still advised to take care on approach.
