The chairperson of the new Shannon Airport Company has confirmed negotiations are underway to secure services between the airport and a hub in mainland Europe.

Rose Hynes has been outlining strategies to grow business at Shannon to members of the Oireachtas Committee on Transport today
The New Quay woman confirmed that negotiations with a number of airlines on new international routes are ongoing, and that these include a potential link with a large German airport which would boost connectivity between Clare and other destinations.
Rose Hynes feels sustainable growth is key for the airport.
