Ennis Chamber’s CEO says there’s still work to be done to move the town away from its traditionally ‘dormitory’ status.

Work is continuing on the implementation of the Ennis 2040 plan, which was officially launched last year, which promises a further 5,000 jobs in the county town over the next two decades.

Chambers Ireland, including Ennis Chamber, has launched its Budget 2023 submission, which identifies housing, energy and workforce skills as three key areas next year.

Margaret O’ Brien believes there needs to be further continued emphasis on attracting jobs to the county town, rather than around it.
