A former Mayor of Clare claims something short of a miracle is what’s needed to restore public confidence in Government.
It follows the resignation of Robert Troy as Junior Minister this week, over his rental property controversy.
Attention is now turning towards his replacement, with Mayo TD Dara Calleary the early favourite to fill the gap.
Patricia McCarthy, who’s also a former Chair of the Shannon Town Council believes this latest controversy will be hard to come back from as public confidence steadily eroding for the past two years.
