Clare Local Authorities have been named overall winner of the Local Authority Award at The National Safety Awards scheme.
The annual event, which is organised by the National Irish Safety Organisation and Northern Ireland Safety Group, is in its 22nd year and sees local authorities from across Ireland compete for the top accolades.
The competition recognises organisations which demonstrate a consistently good or continuously improving health and safety performance and an outstanding contribution to occupational safety, health and welfare during the previous year.
