Clare County Council has confirmed that a swimming ban in Kilkee has been lifted.
The prohibition was ordered by the HSE on Sunday after the Irish Water wastewater pumping station in the town malfunctioned.
The bathing water in the West Clare tourist hotspot has been tested and the Health Executive has confirmed that swimmers can once more enter the water.
The ban was in place for a total of three days.
