A serial sex offender who set up a sweet shop and sexually abused an 11 year old boy he hired to do odd jobs has been jailed for life.
The 38 year old was a registered sex offender but this was not known by the local Dublin community where he worked.

He evaded the authorities by lying about his address and using a false identity which helped him to groom the boy and then systematically abuse him over a 6 months period.
He was today jailed for life after he pleaded guilty at the Central Criminal Court to 14 charges of sexual assault and defilement between December 2008 and June 2009.
