A man in his forties remains in Garda custody, in connection with the death of a man whose body was found in a quarry near the Cliffs of Moher

41-year-old Adrian Folan, originally from Carraroe, had been missing from Athlone since last week, and Garda investigations into his disappearance led officers to search the area at Moher yesterday.
The man's remains were discovered there, while a post mortem and formal identification were carried out at University Hospital Limerick last evening.
Gardaí in Mill Street in Galway are continuing to question a man they arrested as part of their probe, while Clare Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
