Yellow Weather Warnings In Effect For Clare Today

Three separate Status Yellow weather warnings for wind, rain and gales are due to come into effect in the Banner County and across the country today.

A Status Yellow Rain warning will come into effect from 1pm for Clare, the remainder of Munster, Connacht and Donegal and will remain in place until 10pm tonight.

While a Status Yellow Wind warning will come into effect from 5pm and will affect Clare, Limerick, Cork, Kerry, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo.

 

Met Eireann are advising those in affected areas they can expect southeasterly winds, veering southwesterly  reaching mean speeds of 50 – 65km/h with gusts of 90 – 110km/h, higher near coasts and exposed areas. The alert will remain in place until 12pm tomorrow.

While a Status Yellow Gale warning will be in place for all coasts off Ireland and on the Irish Sea from 2pm and will remain in effect until 8pm on Monday night.

A separate small crafts warning has been in place since 11am this morning for all Irish coastal areas and will also remain in affect until at least 8pm on Monday.
