Eire Óg have reached successive Clare Senior Football Finals for the first time since 2007 after Paul Madden’s side issued a champions display in the second Clare Senior Football Semi-Final at Cusack Park, Ennis.

Corofin playing in their alternative green strip battled hard against the champions and trailed by just three points at the interval.

However Eire Óg moved up the gears on the restart issuing a thoroughly dominant performance throughout the pitch and would keep their challengers scoreless for the remainder of the contest.

With a goal from captain Gavin Cooney on forty-seven minutes who finished the day with a personal tally of 1-06 quelling any hope hopes of a comeback for the North Clare men.

As it finished in Cusack Park, Eire Óg 1-11 to Corofin 0-03

Paul Madden’s side will now meet Ennistymon in the County final where the last championship meeting between the sides came at the Quarter-Final stage of the 2021 campaign which finished 1-06 to 0-5 in Eire Óg’s favour.
