Ennis is once again in receipt of an honour which recognises the quality of the town’s night-life.

The county town has achieved purple flag accreditation this year, which sees towns and cities recognised for providing a vibrant and diverse mix of dining, entertainment and culture while promoting the safety and wellbeing of visitors and residents.

Ennis was the first town to the receive the purple flag in Ireland back in 2013 and maintained the accolade until the Covid-19 pandemic disrupted the country’s nightlife offering.

CEO of Ennis Chamber, Margaret O’Brien says the flag is a symbol that the town continues to evolve in its night-time offering.
