Collins Names Strong Clare Side For McGrath Cup Opener

Clare boss Colm Collins has named a strong side for Sundays McGrath Cup opener against Kerry.

Stephen Ryan is back to man the goals, with the Kilrush man missing out on the latter stages of last season through injury.

10 of the side that started last years All Ireland quarter final loss to Derry are named to take to the field in Austin Stack Park, with captain Eoin Cleary, Podge Collins and Keelan Sexton among them.

Eire Og’s Ronan Lanigan starts at corner back with Jamie Malone named at centre back, while the midfield pairing is Cathal O’Connor and Darren O’Neill.
