Midwest Healthcare Model ‘Broadly Correct’ Insists Taoiseach

The Taoiseach insists the model for healthcare provision in the Midwest is ‘broadly correct’.

Leo Varadkar has made clear during his visit to University Hospital Limerick that he does not foresee the reopen of emergency departments in Ennis, Nenagh or St John’s.

That’s despite HIQA recommending that model 3 facilities should be considered in a report published last summer.

 

However, speaking in UHL, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar insists capacity and other initiatives are the key to easing overcrowding concerns.
