The Chair of the Clare Tourism Advisory Forum says he remains optimistic about the upcoming season, despite some challenges facing the industry.

It comes as international buyers from 17 countries travelled to Ireland this week, to take part in Meitheal, Fáilte Ireland’s three-day tourism event.

It’s the country’s largest trade event for the tourism industry and attracted more than 450 providers and over 200 international buyers from countries including France, Germany, Italy and New Zealand.

Ennis hotelier Seán Lally says the tourism sector in Clare and throughout the region is confident of a busy season.
