National Broadband Ireland says it’s on target to deliver high-speed broadband to properties in Clare by the end of 2026.

23,000 premises in the county are included in the State’s Intervention Area, which will see minimum speeds of 500 megabites per second delivered to homes, businesses, farms and schools.

In what is the biggest investment in rural Ireland since rural electrification, Clare will receive €89m of Government investment under the National Broadband Plan.

Adam Ledwith from National Broadband Ireland is confident they’ll have reached the halfway mark by the end of next year.
