Clare Student Volunteers His Services As Emergency Medic In Ukraine

A Clare student has been braving the intense fighting in Ukraine to volunteer his services as an emergency medic.

Twenty-Four Year Old Oran McInerney who is currently in his second year of the University Of Limerick’s Medicine Programme spent his Easter break tending to civillian and military casualties in the Oblast & Bahkmut regions of the war torn state.

Previously the Doonbeg native completed courses in tactical trauma life support and tactical trauma care during a stint in Denmark.

Oran says he was compelled to help after witnessing footage of the devastating impact of the war on the Ukrainian people.
