Captain Kelly Says Clare Will Eagerly Anticipate Rebel Showdown

The Captain of the Clare Senior Hurlers insists his side have no illusions about the task that lies ahead.

Goals in either half from Ian Galvin & Cathal Malone saw The Banner overcome Waterford on a full time score of 2-22 to 0-16 to record successive victories in the Munster round-robin campaign.

Clare will have an opportunity to secure their spot in the All-Ireland series when they face Cork in their final group fixture on May 21st.   

Ballyea native, Tony Kelly who fired over 0-13 in the Déise victory says Clare’s destiny is now firmly in their own hands.
