A former Clare All Ireland winner is confident Brian Lohan’s side are capable of overcoming Kilkenny in Sunday’s All Ireland hurling semi-final showdown.

The Banner’s last championship win over the Cats came at this stage of the championship in 1997, when the current manager lined out at full back.

Clare haven’t reached the final since the title winning season of 2013 with the Cats hoping to make it back to back appearances in the decider.

1995 All Ireland winner PJ “Fingers” O’Connell says there will be plenty confidence in the squad that they can get the job done.

Throw in on Sunday afternoon is at 4pm with commentary on Clare FM with Matt Waters Clare Fruit & Veg, and Geraghty’s Spar and Off License, Turnpike Ennis.
