People will have the opportunity to have their say on a new section of the Limerick to Scariff Greenway today.

The proposed greenway has been identified as a signature project in the Shannon Tourism Masterplan and would provide a gateway to and from the heart of Limerick City to Lough Derg and the Shannon.

Waterways Ireland, together with Limerick City & County Council and Clare County Council are working to develop the project, which would link Limerick to Scarriff Town with connections to Clonlara, Obriensbridge, Killaloe, Ogonolloe and Tuamgraney.

A Public consultation on the Route Selection from Clonlara to Ard Clooney opened this week and will run for 5 weeks until 3pm on Thursday, August 3rd, with a public meeting taking place in Clonlara Parish Hall today.
