Revenue have seized almost €150,000 worth of illicit drugs at Shannon Airport.
The seizure, which took place last Thursday, saw 7kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €140,000 being seized.
The drugs were discovered in a parcel which had originated from the Czech Republic and were destined for an address in Tipperary.
Separately, €4,625 in cash and a small amount of Bulgarian Lev were seized at Rosslare Europort on the same day as part of Revenue’s ongoing work tareting smuggling and shadow economy activity.
Investigations into both seizures are ongoing.
