Clare FM has picked up two nominations in radio’s most prestigious awards competition.
The Shortlist for the 2023 IMRO Radio Awards, which honour the best in Irish radio, has been unveiled today.
Clare FM has been shortlisted twice in the Documentary category for the stations feature length specials ‘Bottler’ and ‘Falsely Accused’.
Both documentaries were produced and scripted by Clare FM Programme Director Padraic Flaherty.
‘Bottler’ chronicled the life and times of Comedian Bredan Grace and his strong links to the Banner county, while Falsely Accused told the story of Ennis native, Bernard Lynch and his fight for justice whilst offering relentless support to AIDS patients as a priest in the United States.
The latter already secured Gold at the at the recent New York Radio Awards.
Clare FM is also in the running for Local Station of the Year.
